Academics

At Saint Leo the Great School, our endeavor to educate the whole child is guided by Academic Standards of the Pennsylvania Department of Education as directed by the Diocese of Harrisburg, including religious education curriculum and technology curriculum.  We have also implemented several custom programs unique to our school.

Diocesan Elementary Curriculum

STEAM Program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) emphasizes experimentation, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving.

Outdoor Classroom participation nurtures children on a variety of levels and provides many benefits from the spiritual and social to the physical and emotional.

Mini-Course Program provide students with experiences of exploratory/educational nature outside of their curriculum, such as photography, stress management, cooking, and field hockey.

Instructional Support Program makes Catholic education accessible to all learners, including children who learn differently.
